Community Storyteller
Everything is held together with stories. That is all that is holding us together, stories and compassion.

I am a trained community storyteller and workshop leader, I am a regular storyteller (and a committee member) at The Guest House Storytellers in Newhaven. My regular workshops and Herb and Story Walks are held throughout the year. The power of stories shared in a circle of adults or children is vital to giving us invaluable navigational tools for thresholds and experiences of becoming a full human being.
If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they are needed. Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive. That is why we put these stories in each other’s memories. This is how people care for themselves.

Feedback from storytelling and story workshops
Wow! Thank you. A powerful telling in a perfect setting, and a beautiful honouring of the pain and transformation motifs in this great story. I found the activity – ritual after most moving and so finely held. This was an unforgettable experience and I believe deeply healing for us all. In joy & love.
– ARI really enjoyed the herb and story walk. Having lived my childhood playing on the Downs in the same area, it was lovely to spend time there just looking, listening and learning about the plants. I had quite forgotten how, as a child, I would lie in the grass examining it closely, watching the insects, blowing the dandelion clocks and making catapults out of the plantains and itching powder out of haw berries. These were precious memories your gentle walk revived. And as I stood listening to folk tales from ancient times, I felt as though I really belonged to this place and this time. I felt grounded, re-energised and at peace with my surroundings, thank you Kym.
– WAI enjoy being around you, your sense of humour and solid presence.’ R.R …..‘the young and ancient in you , the reverence of nature and respect of spirit, thank you!
– ASI thank you for creating a wonderful ritual space for each of us to be held by, the offering of our hearts and tears.
– ZNHow inspiring Kym! You told your story with such strength and conviction and knowing, tying it in so elegantly with the ocean. Really I found it moving. You have such lovely connection with us as the audience, which made it feel a very personal story, despite it being so very big.
